Recently, a new organic silicone material named Mercaptoalkyl-modified Silicone IOTA-280 has garnered widespread attention in the chemical industry. With its unique mercapto functional groups and strong reactivity, this material has brought revolutionary breakthroughs to UV curing technology.

IOTA-280 possesses remarkable properties, including high reactivity of mercapto functional groups (thiol-ene click chemistry), excellent stability and weather resistance, and rapid, efficient, and stable photoinduced coupling under UV light. These characteristics make IOTA-280 highly promising in various applications.

In the field of UV/electron beam curing anti-adhesion coatings, IOTA-280 has proven to be an excellent material for mold release agents and paper release agents. Its efficient curing performance and stability make it an ideal crosslinking agent for the preparation of semiconductor coatings and optical fiber coatings. Additionally, IOTA-280 significantly improves the curing rate of general condensation-type vulcanizing silicone rubbers, addressing the issue of poor adhesiveness in light-cured adhesives.

The application process is simple. Simply mix mercapto silicone oil with vinyl silicone oil or resin containing unsaturated double bonds, add a certain amount of photoinitiator (5-10wt%), apply it to a polytetrafluoroethylene mold, and irradiate it with a UV lamp (200-400nm) for 1-10 seconds to achieve crosslinking and curing.

In terms of storage and packaging, IOTA-280 is packaged in 1kg and 5kg plastic drums, with custom packaging options available based on customer needs. The product is non-flammable and non-explosive, requiring storage in a cool, dry location, tightly sealed, with a shelf life of 6 months. If the storage period exceeds the shelf life, the product's properties should be re-evaluated before use.

Industry experts note that the introduction of IOTA-280 not only provides new options for UV curing technology but also drives technological innovation in related fields.
