IOTA 6080 is a pure methyl solid silicone resin, most notably characterized by its very high silica content. This property gives it heat resistance that surpasses ordinary silicone resins, while effectively reducing smoke generation at high temperatures. Combined with its high reactivity, strong adhesion, high hardness, and outstanding scratch resistance, IOTA 6080 is an ideal choice for protecting critical components in high-temperature, high-reliability environments.
Exceptional Heat Resistance & Low Smoke: Stable performance in high-temperature environments with minimal smoke emission, enhancing safety and environmental friendliness.
Excellent Adhesion & Hardness: High reactivity ensures strong adhesion to substrates; the cured coating exhibits high hardness and excellent scratch resistance.
Superior Electrical Insulation: An ideal base material for manufacturing high-performance insulating coatings.
Appearance: Colorless to light yellow transparent solid
Solid Content: 100%
Volatiles (150°C, 1h): ≤3%
Softening Point: 95-110°C
Solubility in Toluene (1:1): Clear and transparent
Insulating Bonding for Laminates: Widely used in laminate manufacturing, providing a stable and durable insulating bonding layer to ensure product reliability under high temperatures.
Resistor Insulating Coatings: Particularly suitable for insulating protective coatings on electronic components like resistors. While providing excellent temperature resistance, it also imparts exceptional stability (no smoking, no cracking) and scratch resistance to the coating, effectively extending component lifespan.
To ensure optimal application results, IOTA provides professional application guidance:
Solvent Method: Toluene or xylene are recommended as the preferred solvents. Fully dissolve the resin with moderate heating (≤60°C) before paint preparation. Pre-use filtration through a 200-mesh filter cloth is advised, ensuring the filtrate is clear.
Powder Coating Method: When preparing resistor insulating coatings, ensure thorough mixing and encapsulation of the resin with pigments and fillers.
The product is packaged in 25 kg, 50 kg, or 200 kg plastic-lined paper drums.
Sealed storage in a cool, dry environment at 5~36°C is recommended. The standard shelf life is 12 months from the production date (can still be used after analysis if it exceeds the period but remains qualified).
