IOTA-PHPS is a high-performance liquid coating material primarily composed of inorganic perhydropolysilazane (PHPS), supplied in solvent-diluted form for easy application. Upon curing, it forms a silica (SiO₂)-like nano-coating with exceptional hardness, excellent transparency, strong adhesion, and extreme environmental tolerance. It is recognized as a “hydrophilic superhard stain-resistant nano-coating material.”
Multiple curing options, low-temperature film formation – can be cured at room temperature (≥7 days) or accelerated with moisture (90% humidity, 150°C, 2h), significantly reducing energy requirements
Ultra-high hardness & transparency – pencil hardness up to 9H (Chinese standard) after high-temperature curing; visible light transmittance >90%, combining wear resistance with optical performance
Extreme environmental tolerance – withstands 800°C, salt spray, alkali, and saline solutions; adhesion of Grade 0 (cross-hatch test) to metals, ceramics, and polymers
Low-temperature ceramization – converts to dense SiO₂ structure at relatively low temperatures via Si–N bond hydrolysis, suitable for heat-sensitive substrates
Flexible application methods – supports spin coating, wiping, spraying, dip coating, and other methods to accommodate different substrates and processes

Building anti-graffiti coatings – permanent stain resistance, easy cleaning and maintenance
Precious metal anti-corrosion – transparent nano-coating protects gold, silver, platinum, etc. from H₂S, Cl⁻, and other corrosive agents without affecting original luster or conductivity
Railway transportation – component anti-corrosion and weather-resistant protection against extreme climates and chemical corrosion
Semiconductor insulating layers – high insulation combined with nano-scale dense barrier for chip and electronic circuit protection
Electronic circuit protection – prevents oxidation and moisture/oxygen permeation, enhancing device reliability
Plastic packaging gas/moisture barrier – reduces water vapor and oxygen transmission by >99.5%, extending product shelf life
The curing process proceeds through hydrolysis of Si–N bonds, converting the coating into a dense SiO₂ structure under moisture exposure:
≡Si–N≡ + H₂O → ≡Si–O≡ + NH₃
Recommended curing conditions:
Room temperature curing: ≥7 days
Moisture-accelerated curing: 90% humidity, 150°C, 2h
Substrate preparation – clean surface to remove oil and dust
Coating application – spin coating, wiping, spraying, or dip coating
Curing – room temperature or accelerated at elevated temperature
After use, tools must be cleaned promptly with acetone or solvent oil – once cured, IOTA-PHPS cannot be removed by solvents.
Storage conditions – sealed storage at temperatures below 10°C
Shelf life – 1 year (domestic) / 6 months (export) when unopened; 6+ months after opening when stored sealed in a cool, dry environment
IOTA-PHPS must be used in well-ventilated, dry environments with appropriate protective equipment (gloves, mask, goggles). Keep uncured product away from open flames, humid air, or water. Consult professionals for waste liquid disposal.
