IOTA 6100 is a low-viscosity polymethyl alkyl-functionalized silicone resin in a pure methyl high-activity system. It is recommended for high-temperature resistant coatings, offering moisture-triggered ambient self-drying for convenient application. With an inorganic content of 68–72% (as SiO₂), fast curing speed, and strong adhesion to metals, ceramics, and other substrates, it is an ideal base resin for high-performance high-temperature coatings.
| Parameter | Specification |
|---|---|
| Color | Colorless transparent liquid (transparent to light yellow) |
| Content | >96% |
| Viscosity | 30–50 mm²/s |
| SiO₂ content | 68–72% |
✅ Moisture-triggered ambient self-drying – no baking required, ideal for large workpieces
✅ High inorganic content (68–72% SiO₂) – excellent heat resistance and hardness
✅ Fast curing – improves application efficiency
✅ Strong adhesion – bonds well to metals, ceramics, glass, and other substrates
✅ Low viscosity (30–50 mm²/s) – good leveling, easy to apply
✅ Excellent insulation, water repellency, and weather resistance – suitable for outdoor and high-temperature environments
✅ Eco-friendly solvent compatibility – dilutable with methanol, ethanol, and other alcohols
Silicone resin
Contains alkylsilane reactive materials
1. High-Temperature Coatings for Metal Surfaces
Dilutable with methanol, ethanol, and other eco-friendly alcohol solvents to form high-temperature coatings on metal surfaces, enhancing corrosion resistance. Films perform reliably at 350°C with excellent insulation, water repellency, and weather resistance.
2. Automotive, Motorcycle, and Aerospace
Suitable for exhaust pipes, automotive protective hard coating materials, mufflers, engine components, construction machinery, and other high-temperature parts.
3. Industrial and Household Appliance Coatings
Ideal for boilers, gas stoves, heat exchangers, household ovens, baking ovens, fireplaces, and similar high-temperature equipment.
4. Highly Filled High-Temperature Coatings
When mixed with inorganic pigments and fillers, can achieve heat resistance of 600°C and above.
Use methanol, ethanol, or other eco-friendly alcohol solvents for dilution
Cures at ambient temperature via moisture; heating can accelerate curing
Higher temperature resistance can be achieved by combining with inorganic pigments and fillers
✅ Ambient self-drying – convenient and energy-saving
✅ High inorganic content (68–72% SiO₂) – excellent heat resistance
✅ Fast curing and strong adhesion – suitable for multiple substrates
✅ Low viscosity and good leveling – smooth application
✅ Long-term use at 350°C; up to 600°C+ with high filling
✅ Applicable to automotive, appliance, industrial, and aerospace sectors
