Mechanism of Action

IOTA 6ND742 contains two types of reactive groups:

  • Secondary amino (-NH-) – reacts with epoxy, isocyanate, anhydride, and other organic functional groups for chemical bonding with organic polymers

  • Alkoxy (-OR) – hydrolyzes to silanol, which condenses with hydroxyl groups on inorganic surfaces (glass, metals, fillers) to form stable Si-O- bonds
