IOTA 6ND742 is a solvent-free liquid silicone resin containing abundant anilinomethyl, alkoxy, and other reactive groups. The amino and alkoxy contents can be regulated, and other active group types can be selected based on application requirements.
Its molecular structure features a secondary amino functional group and numerous reactive alkoxy groups. This dual reactivity enables IOTA 6ND742 to undergo bidirectional chemical reactions with both inorganic materials (glass, metals, fillers) and organic polymers (thermosetting resins, plastics, elastomers), significantly improving bonding, adhesion, and compatibility between the two. This enhances the mechanical properties of resin matrix composites or improves coating adhesion strength and water resistance.
In different applications, IOTA 6ND742 can serve as a coupling agent, adhesion promoter, curing agent, or surface modifier for pigments and fillers.

✅ Dual reactivity – secondary amino + alkoxy groups react with both organic and inorganic materials
✅ Solvent-free system – 98% solid content, environmentally friendly and low odor
✅ Adjustable active groups – amino and alkoxy contents tunable; active group types selectable
✅ High purity – K⁺ and Cl⁻ content both < 0.03 wt.% for electronic-grade applications
✅ Broad solvent compatibility – soluble in most polar organic solvents
✅ Multi-functional – coupling, adhesion promotion, curing, and surface modification in one product
IOTA 6ND742 contains two types of reactive groups:
Secondary amino (-NH-) – reacts with epoxy, isocyanate, anhydride, and other organic functional groups for chemical bonding with organic polymers
Alkoxy (-OR) – hydrolyzes to silanol, which condenses with hydroxyl groups on inorganic surfaces (glass, metals, fillers) to form stable Si-O- bonds
Through this "organic-inorganic" dual bridging, IOTA 6ND742 forms strong chemical bonds at interfaces, significantly improving interfacial bonding strength and durability of composite materials.
1. Coupling Agent
Used for surface treatment of glass fibers, carbon fibers, mineral fillers, and other reinforcing materials to improve fiber-resin matrix interfacial bonding.
2. Adhesion Promoter
Added to coatings and adhesives to improve adhesion and water resistance on metal, glass, and other substrates.
3. Curing Agent
Utilizes the reactivity of secondary amino groups with epoxy, isocyanate, and other groups as a functional component in curing systems.
4. Pigment & Filler Surface Modifier
Surface modification of inorganic pigments and fillers to improve dispersibility and compatibility in organic matrices.
