IOTA-9120 is a liquid precursor polymer composed of repeating Si-N units and Si-N-B units. It functions both as a thermosetting resin and a ceramic precursor, capable of converting into high-temperature-resistant SiBCN ceramic products through pyrolysis under relatively mild conditions. It is an ideal choice for ceramic matrix composites, high-temperature adhesives, oxidation-resistant coatings, and more.

Ceramization Behavior Overview

  • <1600°C: Forms amorphous ceramic

  • ≥1600°C: Begins to crystallize

Handling and Storage Precautions

  • Dilution: Can be diluted with various dry solvents.

  • Sensitivity: Sensitive to water and alcohol solvents; hydrolysis or alcoholysis reactions may occur, leading to product degradation. Avoid contact with protonic substances such as acids and bases.

  • Cleaning: After use, tools should be immediately wiped and cleaned with acetone or solvent oil. Once cured, the product cannot be removed by solvents.
