IOTA 9600B is a silicone gel composed of a dimethicone/vinyl dimethicone crosspolymer dispersed in low-viscosity dimethicone. It uses low-viscosity dimethicone rather than cyclic silicones as the dispersion medium, providing a longer-lasting skin feel. With an elastomer content of approximately 20%, it functions as an efficient thickener in W/O systems. Slight thickening may occur after extended storage, but this does not affect performance.
IOTA 9600B delivers a silky smooth feel and can be processed either with heating or at ambient temperature, offering broad processing flexibility. It is widely used in skincare, sun care, color cosmetics, and antiperspirant series.

When formulating emulsions or creams, IOTA 9600B can be added directly to the oil phase. Moderate heating may be applied to facilitate dispersion. A homogenizer is recommended to ensure complete and uniform dispersion of the material.
